Temporary Administrative Support, Human Resources

Description:
Performs complex administrative tasks requiring strong analytical and computer skills. Handles highly confidential information and documents, and has regular interaction with the public, employees, department heads, and outside agencies. Work focuses on workers compensation administration, file maintenance, data entry, correspondence, and customer service in a fast paced and busy environment. Work is performed under the supervision of the Director of Human Resources who reviews performance for conformance to departmental policies and procedures.

Duties:

  • Answers basic questions regarding employment, workers compensation and general day to day inquiries related to Human Resources.
  • Greets visitors, answers busy multiple phone lines, responds to email inquiries, retrieves and reviews incoming correspondence.
  • Prepares outgoing correspondence including letters, emails, faxes, and various forms.
  • Responsible for heavy amounts of filing, data entry, scheduling interviews, and processing new hire data and paperwork.
  • Acts as contact for workers compensation issues and deals directly with employees and workers compensation carrier regarding claims.
  • Responsible for invoice maintenance and processing purchase orders using MSI software.
  • Handles confidential and non-routine information and acts as a liaison with other departments and external agencies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
High School graduate or equivalent; Associate’s degree in related field preferred. Three (3) years of administrative experience in a business or government agency, preferably in Human Resources. Successful candidate must possess strong computer skills in MS Word and Excel; experience in Primepoint HRIS preferred. Successful candidate will be detail oriented, highly organized, possess excellent customer service skills, and the ability to deal professionally and effectively with others.

Annual Salary:
$37,070.00 (35 hours per week, temporary appointment)
