Means Propulsion Systems, a business unit of Means Industries, designs, tests and produces some of the most sophisticated products for the global Propulsion industry. Core technologies (traditional and electrified propulsion) include Selectable One-Way Clutches, Mechanical Diode One Way Clutches, Dynamic Controllable Mechanical Diodes and Integrated Shifting Systems. Our engineers deliver robust engineering and manufacturing solutions by partnering with customers from the conceptual phase straight through to design and integration. Means Propulsion Systems has a manufacturing facility in Saginaw, Michigan and Sales and Engineering Offices in Tokyo, Japan and Shanghai, China.

Means Industries, is an advanced metal-forming manufacturer of precision powertrain & engine components utilizing advanced proprietary stamping, machining, laser-welding and assembly processes. This position is ideal for a progressive thinking individual with the ability to bring technical and professional knowledge to the company.

The best candidate will meet or exceed the following criteria:

  • Bachelor degree in and or minimum 5 years of experience in Metalforming, Manufacturing and Engineering. (Tool & Die background is ideal)
  • Extensive driveline automatic transmission component knowledge is a plus
  • Strong analytical capability, using fact and data, to reach and present conclusions
  • Customer interface experience with automotive OEM's preferred
  • Accomplished leader of major projects in a team environment
  • Highly motivated individual with exceptional communication skills
  • Lean Manufacturing knowledge is a plus
  • Possesses working knowledge of IATF16949, ISO 14001, and Q1 compliance criteria
  • Leading ship capability demonstrated with cross functional teams
