Mary Walker School District No. 207 (Springdale, WA) is accepting applications for a High School Special Education Teacher for the 2019-2020 school year. This position closes at 3:00 pm on Friday, July 18, 2019. The successful candidate must possess a valid Washington State Teaching Certificate, with an endorsement in Special Education, and the following qualifications: Skills working with students who have moderate to severe disabilities. Willingness to work with students with behavioral difficulties and assist students with disabilities. Able to direct, motivate and modify student behaviors, structure a positive learning environment, and work with staff in supporting student growth. Well versed in special education laws and current special education trends. Ability to design and to teach others to implement educational programs for students with disabilities. Knowledge of specialized curriculum, and writing and implementing student IEPs. Ability to work cooperatively with students, parents, administrators, and staff. Able to communicate effectively in written and oral form. Experience working in richly diverse school communities and environments. Other duties as assigned.
