Field Service Technician, Brankamp – Responsible for installing, repairing, servicing and maintaining Process Monitoring Systems; ensuring installations and repairs are completed on-time, on-budget and meet customer expectations; providing customer care and support for technical problems and locating good sensor positions; optimizing machine and tool settings with Brankamp process monitoring; training customers or trainee engineers in understanding and maintaining equipment; performing and concluding corrective measures which may include troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, programming and modifying equipment; providing in-depth technical details requires for Analysis of Current Troubles documents (ACT); completing installation documentation and customer acceptance; maintaining service logs; performing survey of company equipment in the customer’s plant; frequent domestic travel is required.
Required: Associate’s Degree in Computer, Mechanical or Electronics Engineering; or Engineering Technology; or foreign education equivalent. 3 years of work experience as an Engineer, Service Technician, Manager, or combination. 3 years of work experience must include each of the following: providing technical support and service of process monitoring systems and equipment; installing, servicing and maintaining Brankamp equipment; optimizing machine and tool settings with processing monitoring systems; providing client training with regards to the use of process monitoring systems and machine set up; identifying the positioning of good sensor positions; performing corrective measures which may include troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, programming and modifying of equipment; training customers and/or trainee engineers to use and maintain equipment. Position requires domestic travel to customer sites (70%).
