Wastewater Central Maintenance Position

The Lake County Department of Utilities is accepting applications for the position of Wastewater Central Maintenance. Candidates shall have a high degree of organizational skill associated with operating a materials/equipment storeroom that supports equipment repairs in wastewater treatment. Applicants must have significant experience in expediting equipment procurement and materials inventory control for Wastewater Plant Treatment Processes and Wastewater Collection Systems. Applicants must have a High School diploma or GED, a valid Ohio Driver’s license with a safe driving record and a minimum of three years of related experience in this field. This position requires lifting up to 50 pounds and is responsible for a variety of duties necessary to maintain a sufficient stock of supplies, equipment, spare parts and tools. Candidates should be familiar with inventory control, electronic work order recordkeeping, equipment schematics, warranty information and should possess the necessary interpersonal skills to interact with various vendors and departments. Candidates must possess a general working knowledge of the various pump parts and equipment. This position reports to the Plant Superintendent of Wastewater at the Mentor, Ohio plant and assists with the development of Standard Operating Procedures for storeroom operations. Salary will be based on the qualifications of the applicant. A drug screen is required.
