The Lake County Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board is seeking qualified candidates for a full time staff accountant position. About the ADAMHS Board The ADAMHS Board, headquartered in Painesville, provides planning, funding and oversight for Lake County’s mental health and addiction recovery services. Those services are delivered through a network of local agencies with which we contract. Ours is a small office environment, where few work closely to accomplish much. About this position
Our Staff Accountant is responsible for day-to-day fiscal operations. Specific responsibilities include tracking and reporting receipts and expenditures; maintaining a general ledger system; preparing detailed financial statements; facilitating payments to our agencies and vendors; interacting with members of our management team, agencies, and board members relative to financial issues; interacting with the offices of the Lake County Auditor, Treasurer, and Commissioners; reviewing agency audits; tracking and drawing down money from state and federal grants; generating required reports for the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. Due to the current pandemic, some work may be expected to be completed remotely.
A four year degree in accounting, finance, or related field is preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience required. A two year degree coupled with significant work experience is acceptable. Resumes that show experience and proficiency in governmental fund accounting, proficiency in Excel, non-profit finances, healthcare billing, and GOSH behavioral health billing system will be given first priority.
