Purchasing and Materials Manager
Lake Country Power is a Touchstone Energy® electrical distribution cooperative with 43,000 members in northeastern Minnesota. We have an excellent opportunity for a Purchasing and Materials Manager in the Mountain Iron service center.
This position is responsible for coordinating the purchasing and inventory control of the Cooperative's materials, supplies, equipment; and to coordinate daily warehousing functions to provide efficient support to all departments of the Cooperative. This position provides direct supervision of warehouse personnel.
Qualified candidates must have a 2-year post-secondary degree in a business-related field to include accounting, purchasing, and business administration or equivalent; and 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience in accounting, purchasing or warehouse operations. Candidates with a 4-year post-secondary degree in accounting, business administration or management are preferred.
Additional requirements include demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and computerized accounting software; effective communication and negotiation skills to obtain high quality material at fair prices; and the ability to work accurately with large volumes of figures and calculations.
