Mechanic

Lake Country Power is a Touchstone Energy® electrical distribution cooperative with 43,000 members in northeastern Minnesota. We have an excellent opportunity for a Mechanic in our Mountain Iron service center. This position is responsible for providing maintenance and repair service for cooperative vehicles and equipment.

Qualified candidates must be a graduate of a two-year technical school or equivalent program, including training in gasoline engines, diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and chassis repairs. Additional requirements include: Four or more years of related work experience, a valid Minnesota Class A CDL (must be attained within first 6 months of job placement), demonstrated proficiency with stick and wire feed welding, and proficiency with a personal computer. Candidates must also acquire and maintain a MN commercial vehicle inspector certification.
