Duties: Develop web and application assessment standards, processes, and procedures related to resiliency, availability, and disaster recovery. Develop cloud technology usage and requirement standards and guidelines to ensure application resiliency, availability, RPO, and RTO requirements are met. Participate in peer review assessments with specific focus on overall resiliency and availability within the web and application layers. Develop and track remediation of identified resiliency and availability issues. Document assessment results and improvement opportunities.
Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any), Computer Science, or related field of study plus seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or seven (7) years of experience as Software/Systems Engineer, Solutions/IT Architect, Programmer Analyst, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree plus five (5) years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree plus seven (7) years of experience.
Skills Required: This position requires (5) years of experience with the following skills: Apache; Tomcat; WebLogic; MQ Series; cross-vendor OS and application-level clustering; and VIP- and URL-based load balancing. This position requires (2) years of experience with the following skills: data assessment using MS Excel, MS Access, and SQL; business systems analysis; software development or assessment; web or application architecture design on distributed platforms; and architecting or assessing web or application high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
