Duties: Responsible for application development for client facing applications. Ensure applications meet coding standards. Build and deploy applications to UNIX and IIS servers. Test applications to ensure they meet requirements. Do performance testing to ensure they meet Service level Agreements (SLA’s). Test to ensure web applications are secure. Work with business to analyze requirements and create specifications for trade processing, client relationship management, and fixed income as well as FX trading and reporting. Develop, enhance, and maintain high performance transaction or reporting systems with large databases and multi-tier architectures. Develop middle tier and backend software. Develop graphical user interfaces (GUI). Develop GUI to have accessibility features and to meet ADA standards. Work collaboratively with offshore development team. Use Agile methodology for development. Do static and dynamic scans to remediate any vulnerabilities. Debug backend database access layer. Ensure successful implementation. Support mission critical software applications, respond to user queries and issues to meet SLA and business clients needs.
Minimum education and experience required: This position will require a 3 or 4 year Bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Application/Software Developer, IT Consultant/Analyst, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires five (5) years of experience with the following: object oriented programing with C#; RDBMS such as Oracle or SQL Server; ASP.Net MVC or JSP; Writing unit tests in Junit; and UAT support. This position requires two (2) years of experience with the following: Data virtualization and ETL tools such as SQL, Server Integration Services (SSIS) or Greenplum; Webservices; developing graphical user interfaces with HTML; and JavaScript or AngularJS. This position requires one (1) year of experience with the following: Java J2EE; application development and solution design in a financial services firm for institutional clients; supporting valuation, sales and product control desks; and VBA.
