Duties: Design, build, test, debug and document high-performance, scalable and resilient technical solutions to satisfy business requirements for large and complex projects. Design and build the future state solution for Regulatory reporting. Assist with the US Regulatory Reporting needs. Adhere to coding best practices and standards. Partner with supporting tech leads to develop realistic and achievable project estimates. Analyze and build within Control, Stability, Resiliency, Capacity & Performance areas. Partner with the AD onshore and offshore member to develop the Axiom solutions. Work very close to the Business Analysts to review business requirements and functional specifications produced to ensure high-quality deliverables are matching with Business need. Ensure robust delivery of code into the production environment. Proactively look to develop, implement and further develop best practices across the group. Work with other team members, including Solution Architect, DBA's, ETL Team, Technical Architects, QA and Business Analysts to define the best solution. Write and maintain technical design specifications according to functional specifications. Execute unit testing and system integration testing to ensure completeness and that it adheres to appropriate policies/standards, resulting in quality deliverables. Contribute to quality improvement, code reviews, code/architecture standards, code reuse etc. Undertake “peer reviews”, and have your work reviewed by other members of the AD Team.
Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years of experience as an IT Consultant, Project Manager, Systems Engineer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires five (5) years of experience in the following: Big Data technology (Hadoop and Impala); Kafka messaging platform; Axiom’s Controller View application and its applicability to US and Global regulatory practices; Data modeling; PL SQL; Unix Shell scripting; Python scripting; CCAR and DFAST regulatory reporting; Consolidated financial statement filings such as FR Y-9C, FFIEC reports, MDRMs or Edit Checks; interpret regulatory concepts and responding with technical solutions; and integration of various reporting systems such as regulator facing applications. This position requires four (4) years of experience in the following: Foreign regulatory reporting implementations, such as MAS (Monetary Authority of Singapore) or BOE (Bank of England).
