Duties: Develop technical requirements for the Application Development team by transforming business requirements submitted by the product team into user stories using JIRA. Develop concepts into applications that are embraced by business users. Ensure requirements are understood and are implemented as per specification. Identify, assess and document business requirements and user stories across large projects. Support the Product Owner by grooming and maintaining the product backlog. Create business process and data models to validate understanding between business users and development teams. Act as Scrum Master on sprint planning sessions to prioritize stories with the Product Owner, estimate stories, ensure the quality of stories for the next Sprint and finalize Sprint scope. Prepare and deliver management updates which communicate delivery progress against target-scope. Organize and drive story grooming and refinement sessions with the product owner and the tech teams that are impacted. Drive requirements and testing discussions with stakeholders and demo prototypes and wireframes.
Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience as a Project Manager, Business IT Analyst, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires five (5) years of experience with the following skills and technologies: functional design; client-server applications based on Java; Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) software development using Jenkins; Branch and release management through standard market tools; Jenkins repositories; testing based Junit; and integrated testing through market and custom frameworks including Selenium, Soap-UI, Gherkin framework, and data integration and manipulation through Excel, CSV, JSON, and XML file formats; and financial back-office workflows including trading, settlement, reconciliation, and accounting; This position requires four (4) years of experience with the following skills and technologies: data management using Oracle and MSSQL Server; leading software teams relying on design patterns and architecture such as micro-services, distributed applications using Cloud Foundry platform, event driven platforms, big data, or search engine using Elasticsearch and Solr; data privacy patterns including GDPR and DLP for protection for sensitive client information; and sales front-office workflows including Prospect creation, Pipeline and Opportunities management, and logging of client conversations.
