Deploy application changes, upgrades and emergency fixes for supported applications and infrastructure. Maintain business critical applications to ensure reliable and secure services to end users by troubleshooting reported issues using debugging skills in different languages like shell, python, NOSQL, Java. Document application releases, troubleshooting, FAQ steps, infrastructure diagrams, infrastructure maps and common issues and resolution in confluence. Create and modify application flow jobs using scheduling tools Control-M and shell scripts utilized in micro-services. Optimize and automate manual tasks such as deployment validation, adhoc update requests, application and infrastructure. Optimize the infrastructure platform by shifting to automation and cloud while eliminating bespoke/non-standard solutions. Deliver and support company tools, promoting a consistent approach to: deployment of files across servers and desktops (binaries, web content, documents, etc.); starting, stopping and monitoring application processes; and deployment of database objects. Drive a Hybrid Cloud strategy leveraging both private cloud and public cloud to maximize efficiencies while enforcing the appropriate technology and business controls. Resolve outages and incidents. Provide level 2/3 end-to-end user support for critical applications issues and escalations.
Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree of Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or four (4) years of experience as a Computer Programmer, System Analyst, Applications Developer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires four (4) years of experience with the following skills and technologies: Shell Scripting, and vbscript; UNIX, LINUX, and WINDOWS platforms; Oracle and SQL Server databases; Middleware technologies including Apache tomcat, kafka, IBM websphere, Oracle weblogic and Jboss; Monitoring and Performance tools and technologies including CA Introscope, Splunk, Patrol and Netcool; job scheduling tools including Control-M, TWS, and Autosys; defects and tickets tracking tools including BMC Remedy, JIRA, HP Service Manager and ServiceNow; monitoring using shell scripting, Python, and Control-M; and debugging in different languages including Shell, Python, NOSQL, and Java. This position requires two (2) years of experience with the following skills and technologies: C; and Python.
