JCPC Administrative Support Secretary
Jones County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) is seeking to contract with an individual to provide administrative support to the Jones County JCPC. Duties will include taking minutes for all Council proceedings and make them available to JCPC members by the next scheduled meeting; recording all resolutions and votes taken in matters; sending notices regarding meetings as requested by the Chair; keeping an accurate and current membership list; coordinating meals for each meeting, taking the roll to ensure a quorum for all meetings of the general membership and assisting with submitting required JCPC reports/ documents as required by The Department of Public Safety. The purpose of the JCPC is to identify issues and factors which have an influence and impact upon delinquent youth, at-risk youth, and their families in Jones County, and identify strategies and services most likely to reduce/ prevent delinquent behavior. The Jones County JCPC meets seven (7) months throughout the year according to a pre-approved meeting schedule. The amount of time required by the JCPC Administrative Support Secretary will vary from month to month, but will be approximately 10 to 15 hours during designated meeting months. The contracted rate of pay will be $15.00 per hour.
