The Irvington Public Schools is seeking an exceptional Superintendent of Schools for a Pre K-12 district that serves 7,900 students in 13 schools that include 1 preschool, 8 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, 1 high school, and 1 alternative high school. The Irvington Public Schools' motto, "Quality Education: A Community Commitment" supports a mission statement to educate the whole child through a comprehensive approach and solid commitment from all district stakeholders, that includes but is not limited to students, parents, teachers, custodians, secretaries, security, support staff. and the community at large.
Qualifications:
NJ School Administrator or Certificate of Eligibility required
Doctorate Degree
Experience as a superintendent or assistant superintendent of schools
Teaching experience at the elementary or secondary levels
Administrative experience at the elementary or secondary levels
Experience as a principal in an urban district
Ability to lead, inspire, collaborate, and motivate staff
Outstanding Interpersonal and communication skills
Experience in using data to drive instruction
