HR Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing assistance to the human resources department concerning a broad range of responsibilities to ensure that the needs of the business are aligned appropriately with the overall company goals, and the needs of the employees. Administers day-to-day tasks by providing guidance, counseling, and direction on human resources policies, processes, and programs to both managers and employees. The Human Resources Generalist is also responsible for assisting with recruiting, training, new employee orientation, on-boarding.
The Human Resources Generalist will maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Works closely with employees at all levels within the organization
- Provides general advice and counsel to employees and supervisors regarding Human Resources policies, procedures, benefits, recruiting, training, government regulations and employee relations
- Facilitates all recruiting processes (attending career fairs, job postings, resume screening, interviewing and applicant tracking, background/reference checking, communicating employment offer)
- Maintains employee benefit paperwork and relationship with providers while acting as a resource for questions pertaining to employee benefits, FMLA administration, short-term disability insurance administration and unemployment compensation administration
- Conducts exit interviews, analyzes data, and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement
- Completes new hire and termination check lists
- Administers employee fringe benefits including but not limited to clothing allowance and parking permits
- Inputs information into the HRIS system including new hire information, benefit updates, wage updates, notes etc.
- Provide backup for processing payroll to cover vacations and sick time
- Manages the tracking of vacation and personal time accruals in the HRIS system
- Assists employees and managers with the annual and ninety-day Catalytic Coaching process
- Revise company policies or procedures as directed
- Be knowledgeable of ImOn products and services
- Process and delivering incoming and outgoing mail
- Manage ordering office supplies
- Maintain employee breakroom
Requirements
We're looking for someone with:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3 to 5 years of diverse Human Resources experience required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point is essential
- Strong experience with HRIS systems
- Solid experience in screening, sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and on-boarding
- Professional Human Resources Certification preferred but not required
