Successful candidate will be a vital member of the leadership team and will oversee the district's teaching and learning initiatives. Thorough knowledge of educational theory and practice, curriculum and staff development, innovative instructional practices and student assessment is required. Must have proven collaborative leadership and organization skills with the ability to motivate people. Demonstrated commitment to high academic achievement and knowledge of best practices in curriculum, instruction and assessment is essential. Prior administrative (central office preferred) and teaching experience and NJ School Administrator certificate is required. Knowledge of the Strong Teacher Evaluation Model and experience overseeing department directors in human resources, counseling, technology and special education are recommended.
