Public Works Laborer

The Borough of Hamburg, Berks County, PA is currently hiring a full time, hourly, public works laborer. This position is responsible for assisting with the maintenance, repair, and operation of all Borough parks, roads, buildings, properties, and storm sewer system. This is a skilled laborer position that requires the chosen candidate to work indoors and outdoors year-round. Applicants must be able to respond to emergency call outs for snow and ice removal, storm clean-up, etc. Qualified applicants must possess a valid PA driver's license with a clean driving record, be able to pass a background check, and have an education equivalent to completion of high school. Class B CDL, heavy equipment experience, basic carpentry/plumbing and landscaping knowledge, blacktop experience, snow removal experience, and pesticide application experience preferred.
