Gulfshore of Longboat Key, Inc. is a resident-owned 55+ community.

While the Corporation was incorporated in 1996, the Park dates back to 1948. It was conceived and developed by 3 men, originally from Indiana- Tom Jerkins, his father-in-law, Louis Garman, and Nelson Webber. When the Park opened in October 1948, there were 144 mobile home sites. Two additional sections were added to the Park on the Bay side in 1955 and 1957. Today the Park contains 177 units on 10+ acres.
