Data Manager, Full year position Guilford Public Schools Guilford, Connecticut

Salary:  $60,000 to $65,000  

Description: The role of the Data Manager is to ensure that district data is maintained in a reliable, secure and efficient manner ensuring efficient, effective and timely retrieval and reporting. The Data Manager is responsible for data accuracy, intersystem functionality, compliance, and implementation support. This role also facilitates the use of data in the district and supports schools in collecting and distributing information in reports, transcripts, report cards and other documents.      

Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge of HTML, SQL, Access, Database Connections (odbc, jdbc), required. Advanced spreadsheet and database skills, Powerschool, Google Suite Apps, MS Office, required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferred.  

Responsible to: Director of Technology                          

Work Period: Full year, 8 hours per day, non-union position with benefits

Position Title: Data Manager

SUMMARY: The role of the Data Manager is to ensure that district data is maintained in a reliable, secure and efficient manner ensuring efficient, effective and timely retrieval and reporting. The Data Manager is responsible for data accuracy, intersystem functionality, compliance, and implementation support. This role also facilitates the use of data in the district and supports schools in collecting and distributing information in reports, transcripts, report cards and other documents. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

* Support the administration of student information systems.

* Provide end-user support, “help desk”.

* Support design, development and implementation of reports.

* Work with end-users to determine customization needs, reporting, etc. 

* Assist with data collection and submission of State and Federal reports. - PSIS, TCS, CRDC 

* Support data extraction and analysis needs of the district. 

* Support in test taking databases. 

* Support in enhancements to the student information systems and workflows. 

* Advanced database and spreadsheet skills. Knowledge of SQL. 

* Maintain advanced technology skills. 

* Maintains current information and knowledge of school district operations. 

* Maintains professionalism and respects the confidential nature of the work and workplace. 

* Other duties as assigned.

School Year Network Technician $30,000

Description: Responsibilities to include providing hardware and software support to students and faculty, providing technical assistance to teachers for lesson planning, assist in maintenance of school webpage and delivery of tech supported content in the classroom.  

Minimum Qualifications: Experience with Mac and PC computing, Chromebooks, G Suite, networking, excellent hardware and software troubleshooting skills, preferred. Teaching experience, preferred. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferred.                          

Work Period: 200 days per year (180 in session days / 20 days to be determined by Technology Director, typically before and after the school year.
