Classified Team Lead/Employment Specialist
The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual who is an effective sales person with leadership skills. This candidate must possess strong sales abilities, be customer service oriented, have strong computer skills, deductive reasoning with good oral and written comprehension and excellent leadership skills. Must have a strong work ethic and ability to motivate staff, and must be willing to lead by example. Additionally, the ideal candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and be customer service orientated and have the ability to work effectively with internal and external contacts as a team member as well as a team leader. This position will lead a staff of Classified Account Managers that sell and service classified advertising customers for the Greeley Publishing Company.
Essential Functions:
*Must have proven sales skills and abilities.
*Must have the ability to consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets as an individual.
*Must have the ability to assist the Classified Team in consistently meeting or exceeding monthly and quarterly sales targets
*Provides assistance with coaching and training of new and existing employees including best sales practices, instruction on use of the classified system, standard policies and procedures, credit problem handling and resolutions, as well as informing Classified Director of progress and/or problems within the department.
*Assist classified account managers with advertisers, creating proposals and customer service when needed.
*Assist in managing the classified sales strategy from a business, sales and technical perspective.
*Must hold team accountable for revenue goals, outbound calling, lead generation, renewal business and other metrics.
*Must have the ability to establish professional relationships and work with advertisers in determining needs.
*Works closely with other departments to facilitate advertisers' concerns and/or requests.
*This position will come with a plan of action to grow the classified revenue and to motivate staff in that direction.
*This position will provide vacation and illness coverage for the classified team.
Qualifications
*College degree or previous sales experience preferred.
*Background in a call centers is helpful, but not required.
*Must have excellent sales ability, customer service & communication skills, and good computer skills (including Excel, Word, classified program, e-mail and internet).
*Leadership and interoffice people skills required.
*Coaching and Training skills are a must.
