Social Worker Supervisor
Grant County, an Equal Opportunity Employer, is currently accepting applications for the position of a full-time Social Worker Supervisor, emphasizing in Child Protection. Required qualifications include a high school diploma and a bachelor's degree with an emphasis in sociology, psychology, social work or closely related field and considerable experience in a Social Services supervisory role. The position, under the direction of the Social Services Director performs difficult advanced human support work providing department supervision and training; managing program and agency budgets, and related work as apparent or assigned.
This position provides direct supervision of program area staff in 3 counties; assigns responsibilities within the unit; manages program area screening to ensure screening guidelines are met; assigns cases; monitors the budget for assigned program areas; conducts weekly staff meetings; reviews cases with staff individually one time per month. Works as a regional liaison, attends regional supervisor's meetings; manages case file supervision by contracted counties and coordinates regional training.
This is a full-time, exempt, non-union position. Anticipated beginning pay is $32.64 per hour. Health insurance is available and pension benefits are offered.
