Database Engineer (Database Administrator), F/T, Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Related. Database design, maintenance, administration of database for Datacenter Services company. Development and maintenance of databases systems for Data Analytics. Maintenance of data bases used in industry for advanced applications including SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, Cassandra, InfluxDB. Writing and maintaining TSQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers etc. Designing and maintaining data databases with very fast data rates, updates and reads for downstream applications. Active participation in customer meetings and assisting in installations, upgrades, debugging etc. Generate reports on data base performance and usage. Design database for stability, reliability, speed and optimized storage. Modify databases according to requests, application requirements and validate performance. Troubleshoot and resolve database usage issues and malfunctions. Ensure all database programs to meet company and performance requirements. Research and suggest new database products, services and protocols Assist with schema design, code review, SQL query tuning. Install, tune, implement and upgrade DBMS installations. Write and deploy SQL patches. Upgrade and improve application scheme and data upgrades. Proactively and regularly make recommendations for system improvements. Design, develop and implement database systems based on customer requirements. Optimize database systems for performance efficiency. Prepare design specifications and functional documentations for database projects. Perform space management and capacity planning for database systems. Ensure data quality and integrity in databases. Create complex functions, scripts, stored procedures and triggers to support application development. Participate in database design and architecture to support application development projects. Perform database back-up and archive on regular basis. Test databases and perform bug fixes. Develop security procedures to protect databases from unauthorized usage. Evaluate existing database and recommend improvements for performance efficiency.
