Maintenance Supervisor
Hot Springs Lodge – Free Pool Pass! The Glenwood Hot Springs Lodge seeks a Maintenance Supervisor. $25/hour and up, depending on experience+ overtime. Previous hotel experience a huge plus but not required. Free pool pass and other benefits included.
Primary Function
Ensure that the Glenwood Hot Springs Lodge buildings and associated equipment and appliances are maintained in a working, attractive and safe manner at all times.
Reporting and Accountability
The Lodge Maintenance Supervisor reports to, and is accountable to both the Facilities Director and secondly, the Lodge Manager.
Authority
The Lodge Maintenance Supervisor has the support and authority necessary to carry out the responsibilities and tasks described in this job description and other responsibilities of the Lodge maintenance department.
Physical Requirements
- Adequate physical agility to traverse the entire building to inspect work and identify areas needing maintenance.
- Ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 70 pounds.
- Adequate physical agility to perform normal maintenance activities such as climbing ladders, kneeling, stooping, bending, reaching, lifting, using hand and power tools, etc.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and read instructions.
Educational Requirements
- Formal education, training and certifications in maintenance and management disciplines and skills or equivalent experience.
Other Requirements
- At least 4 years’ experience in facility maintenance position.
- Prefer maintenance experience in plumbing, electrical, construction, and general maintenance
- Must have a valid Colorado driver’s license with a good driving record that allows our insurance company to approve driving company vehicles.
- Leadership and people management skills
- Results oriented with an understanding of repairing “as built”
- Diagnostic, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Familiarity with preventative maintenance principles and procedures
- Computer Software Skills (for data entry and management systems.)
Work Hours and Days:
Hours will vary and may include weekends and holidays as needed. The nature of facility maintenance often requires working non-standard hours and days. Emergencies and critical maintenance situations may require the maintenance supervisor to respond any time day or night, 7 days per week.
