GECAC Area Agency on Aging Employment Opportunities

Monday - Friday 8:30 - 4:30 (7.5 hours daily)

Applications are being accepted for a full-time caseworker position for the OPTIONS Program in the Area Agency on Aging at GECAC.

Qualified applicants will provide direct services to consumers; assist in the identification and resolution of problem areas; and answer inquiries regarding local resources.
OPTIONS Caseworkers work with older adults and their families to conduct initial assessments of need, develop and periodically reassess care plans; provide general counseling; and make referrals for services and supports to local providers.

Requirements:

Caseworker requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in sociology, social work/social welfare, psychology, gerontology or other of the behavioral sciences. One year experience preferred. Good communication skills both verbal and written. The ability to speak or read languages other than English, especially Spanish or Russian, is desirable. Good outreach skills and knowledge of community resources and funding source regulations needed. Proficient in the use of the computer and have computer software skills including Microsoft Office software. Must be able to travel. Must have a valid PA driver's license with full-time access to private automobile and auto insurance as required by the Agency. Must meet Immigration Law requirements. Must provide Act 33 & 34 and FBI Clearances issued within the past year.

The budgeted range at $15.04-$20.05 per hour starting, depending on prior experience.
