Accountant

This position performs a variety of fiscal accounting duties requiring moderate exercise of initiative and judgment. Must be able to follow established standard financial procedures in the following areas:

Accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, cash management, and other related general accounting/financial areas. Will verify and enter details of transactions to accounts and cash journals from source documentation. Will monitor checking accounts to ensure cash is available for invoices needing to be paid. Reviews accuracy of monthly financial statements for individual programs and makes sure they are balanced. Reconciles agency bank statements as assigned. Prepares internal and external reports as assigned. Prepares interagency billing based on established cost allocation policies. Maintains Agency inventory records and conducts physical inventory as assigned.

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration with a concentration of accounting and one to three years of related experience is preferred. Need to be detail oriented and excel experience.

Act 34 clearance is a requirement prior to hiring. This is a full time position Monday thru Friday with working hours of 8:30AM - 4:30PM. The hiring pay range for the position is from $15.04/hour to $18.55/hour based on related experience. Must meet Immigration Law Requirements.
