The Team Forum Communications Printing-Detroit Lakes is part of the commercial print division of Forum Communications Company. Our specific location specializes in printing newspapers, magazines, periodicals and tabloids. Weare located in Detroit Lakes, MN. As our name implies, this is lake country. We have more than 400 lakes within 25 miles of Detroit Lakes in northwest Minnesota. Whether you are looking for a nature getaway, an active family vacation or a pampered rest, we have something for you. We have openings for first and second shift (7-3:30 pm and 3-11:30 pm, respectively) on our Pressroom Production team. This is a full-time position scheduled to work Monday - Friday.
As a Press Support, you will perform duties related to receiving, stacking and transferring printed product off press equipment.
Other responsibilities include:
- Prepare and load paper rolls for press machines.
- Stackdown/palletize products as they are run off the press.
- Clean and maintain printing press
- Setup stacker equipment.
- Operate forklift and pallet jacks.
- Responsible for general maintenance and housekeeping of press and real rooms.
- Abide by all OSHA regulations and other established company safety policies.
- Three to six months mechanical experience and/or training
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Must be able to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Occasionally required to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
