OPS Information Specialist I
Salary: $13.00 per hour (40 hours per week + Insurance Benefits)

Two years of secretary/clerical experience which includes experience in operating a multi-line telephone system. College education from an accredited institution can substitute at the rate of 30 semester or 45 quarter hours for the required experience and have experience in operating a multi-line telephone system.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves as a call agent for the FWC Statewide Call Center. Receives incoming calls for the FWC’s five regions and answers questions utilizing the Statewide Call Center One Stop Shop SharePoint, FWC website, and other available resources. Routes calls of a technical and complex nature to proper Division/Office personnel.
- Provides excellent internal and external customer service with a pleasant, helpful, and professional attitude, answering comprehensive questions in reference to hunting, fishing, boating, recreation, nuisance wildlife, and other topics.
- Greets/assists walk-in customers and opens and closes the lobby during working hours.
- Processes all literature requests. Orders and stocks the reception area and lobby literature racks with the latest up to date brochures, and pamphlets.
- Posts/receives/delivers mail to appropriate Divisions/Offices. Accepts, routes and prepares packages for courier
- Sorting, filing, copying, data entry, and other administrative requests.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of and skills to use a multi-line telephone system and associated features;
- Knowledge of and skills to use computers including software applications, copy, postage, and fax machines;
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others;
- Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures;
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing;
- Skills and abilities to use a personal computer in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook and appropriate computer systems;
- Ability to comprehend and use appropriate computer systems.
- Ability to use proper phone etiquette;
- Ability to respond to the public in a calm effective manner;
- Knowledge of techniques for handling matters/tasks in a courteous and efficient manner;
- Skill in providing customer service to internal and external customers;
- Ability to multi-task effectively within short timeframes;
- Ability to consistently perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Office hours are from 7:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Central Standard Time, Monday through Friday.

Responsible for following the provisions and requirements in Section 215.422, Florida Statutes, related to the
Department of Financial Services rules and FWC’s invoice processing and warrant distribution procedures.
