Cloud Senior Principal Engineer, Pitney Bowes, Shelton, CT (100% remote). help lead transformation to modern Cloud Architectures by leveraging the latest cutting-edge technologies. Use cloud architecture and implementation features (OS, multi-tenancy, IAC, cloud native, high availability), and DevOps tooling and processes. Act as Subject Matter Expert for IT cloud end-to-end architecture, including AWS, provisioning, and automation. Develop library of deployable and documented cloud design patterns, based on IT application portfolio, as basis for deploying services to cloud. Develop solutions architecture and evaluate architectural alternatives for private, public and hybrid cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud services. Define optimal design patterns and solutions for high availability and disaster recovery for applications. Drive AWS adoption and assist in migrating On Premise workloads. Work with AWS, Kubernetes, Gitlab, Jenkins/Gitlab CI, Nexus, Monitoring and Logging tools, Escalation tools and AWS Services. 100% remote; May work from home. At least a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT or a related field and at least 5 years of prior progressive work experience as a Cloud Engineer/Developer or a related field. Must also possess at least 5 years of experience with building multi-region, highly available application architecture in AWS; at least 5 years of experience building and migrating monolith applications to Kubernetes; at least 5 years of experience with automation using Ansible, Python, and Terraform; at least 5 years of experience developing and monitoring solutions using AWS services (EC2, ELB, RDS, Route53, S3, Data pipelines, CloudFormation), networking and access control; at least 5 years of experience with advanced AWS hybrid networking, specifically hybrid transit gateway implementations; and at least 5 years of experience with systems administration, for example Docker or other related; Unix / Linux; networking protocols; database administration.
