Student Success Advisor #2019020EPEastern Washington University
Student Success Advisor
The Center for Academic Advising & Retention (CAAR) supports and encourages student persistence, student degree completion, and the student connection to the resources that support persistence and degree completion. A successful Student Success Advisor will have experience working with programs focused on developing grit, growth mindset, mental resilience or other persistence based interventions. The Student Success Advisor will consult regularly with CAAR supervisors, university staff, and administration to maintain up-to-date awareness of university programs, information, technologies, and procedures; conduct group presentations/classes; and assist in planning and maintaining overall advising program. The Student Success Advisor will accomplish this by working in a collaborative environment as part of a team within CAAR.
