Description
The East Side Health District (ESHD), in partnership with the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), is hiring numerous Contact Tracers to support ESHD to perform COVID-19 contact tracing.
Position Summary
IDPH and ESHD are organizing teams of community contact tracing staff across St Clair County as a key strategy for preventing further spread of COVID-19.
The Supervisor will be responsible for the daily supervision of ESHD Program Manager, Contact Tracing Program Contact Tracers, and data collection goals.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Schedules work shifts for all Contact Tracer staff and resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Works with Data Architect to resolve hardware and software issues and to develop new software and make enhancements to existing software.
- Works with Contact Tracer Program Manager to determine appropriate staffing and project needs.
- Evaluates Contact Tracer employees in a systematic and standardized manner by annual evaluation dates.
- Makes recommendations and processes necessary paperwork for personnel transactions and takes appropriate performance management actions as needed. Attends related Human Resources matters as necessary (i.e. timesheet, payroll, leave actions).
- Assesses staff training needs and provides regular training for staff- both new and existing staff.
- Engages with Contact Tracer Program Manager daily to help Contact Tracers and monitor progress.
- Updates training materials as necessary.
- Re-trains Contact Tracers to maintain and improve the proficiency of existing staff.
- Updates ESHD Contact Tracing Program procedures and policies as needed.
- As needed and under the direction of Administrator, assigns projects to Contact Tracer Program Manager to meet daily goals and monthly goals.
- Under the direction of research staff, assigns special tasks to Contact Tracer Program Manager as needed.
- Tests questionnaires and leads testing for Contact Tracer staff.
- Leads operations meetings to discuss project status/updates and address Contact Tracer issues, concerns, and suggestions.
- Conducts monthly All-Staff meetings.
Maintains calendar using guidelines and goals from Contact Tracer Program Manager /research staff.
Important Information
- This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week) position.
- This position is based in ESHD.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree, Bachelor’s degree, or 4 years of related professional experience.
- 5 years’ experience managing in a contact center or similar environment.
- Knowledge of contact tracing methodology, survey interviewing techniques, quality control procedures, supervisory knowledge, project management.
- Must have prior experience supervising and managing diverse work teams.
- Experience in developing and delivering training is highly desirable.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be detail-oriented.
- Strong ability to problem-solve and resolve conflicts.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Must have excellent organizational skills.
- Must be flexible and able to multitask and prioritize work.
- Work experience and/or lived to experience with communities experiencing/at risk of disproportionate COVID-19 impact.
Desired Qualifications
- Fluency in a second or in multiple languages a plus (specifically Spanish). Please indicate the languages spoken in your application and/or cover letter.
