* Airport Electrician $22.42-$28.03
The airport electrician engages in the construction, installation, maintenance and repair of high and low-voltage electrical, constant current, communications, and electronic systems; acts as a lead for projects as assigned and oversees regulatory requirements for electrical permitting and regulatory compliance. Participates in various maintenance related tasks for the Eagle County Regional Airport including asphalt and concrete maintenance, painting, sandblasting, irrigation, fencing, snow removal, equipment operations, and maintenance, and keeps the facilities and grounds in clean and safe conditions.
Example of Duties
- Plans, performs, coordinates, schedules, and inspects the construction, installation, maintenance, repair and servicing of high and low-voltage electrical, communications and electronics systems, including baggage conveyance systems, interior and exterior lighting systems, airport runway lighting and control systems, electrical circuits, generators, electrical pumps and motors, and related systems, devices and equipment.

Reviews work orders to determine material, equipment and personnel requirements.

Ensures compliance with safety regulations and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Advisory Circulars.

Conducts research and analysis on all assigned systems to ensure efficiency and provides recommendations for system improvement.

Assists with the preparation and review of plans and specifications; participates in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance; researches new operational methods, techniques and equipment and recommends their application.

Participates in the preparation of budget recommendations; purchases materials and monitors work activities and expenditures to control cost; prepares specifications for the purchase of electrical, communications and electronic equipment, devices and supplies.

Assists in the implementation of the Airport Emergency Plan (AEP), Airport Certification Manual (ACM) and the Airport Security Plan (ASP).

Participates in building and equipment maintenance, snow removal operations, and the operation of heavy equipment.

Develops and maintains beneficial relationships with airport staff, tenants, concessionaires, and airport users.

Trains internal and external personnel in a variety of subjects.

Mandatory availability and participation in snow removal operations.

Other duties as assigned.
