Security Chief
Responsible for the safety of all individuals frequenting Coastal Carolina Community College, maintaining security and fire protection for facilities and capital equipment assets on campus and preparing security related reports. Responsible for assuming all duties of a security officer; supervising all security personnel and assigning duty watches; overseeing parking procedures and reporting any identified maintenance needs; ensuring that an accurate log is maintained and kept up to date on all security related incidents; and ensuring that safety and security procedures as indicated in the Full-Time Faculty and Staff Handbook are up-to-date and executed when a situation arises. CPR and First Aid Certification required. Supervisory experience required. High School diploma or GED required; college coursework in law enforcement administration, criminal justice or a related field, and responsible experience in a security or law enforcement operation preferred; or any combination of education, training, and experience that provides the necessary knowledge and abilities. Criminal background check required.
Salary: $2,472.00 per month.

Security Officer
Provide for the safety of all individuals frequenting Coastal Carolina Community College, maintaining security and fire protection for facilities and capital equipment and assets on campus, and preparing security related reports. Direct traffic as needed, reserve parking spaces for various meetings, and write tickets as appropriate. Assist in emergencies when needed, participate in the security of college-related events, assist with the making of an arrest, when appropriate, and appear in court to testify in reference to that arrest. Conduct investigations on vehicle accidents, missing property, theft, vandalism, breaking and entering and larceny; prepare necessary reports and coordinate with local authorities as appropriate. Participate in surveillance as assigned. Lock and unlock buildings, classrooms, and offices on campus in support of college activities. Collect and deliver bank deposits and use two-way radio. High School Diploma or equivalent, CPR certified or willing to obtain within three (3) months. Six months experience preferred. Must be able to write clear and concise reports, and be willing and able to perform foot and vehicular patrol.
Standard working hours: Tuesday - Saturday 12:00 midnight - 8:00 a.m. or as needed.
Salary: $2,014.00 per month.
