Full time faculty positions begin in August 2020 with a 30 credit hour (170 day contract per Board Policy 4.12) teaching load annually.

The ideal candidate will teach mathematics courses potentially ranging from developmental math through Calculus III, including classes such as College Algebra, Introduction to Statistics, and Mathematics for the Liberal Arts.

Expected teaching load may include concurrent enrollment offerings delivered for local high school students. Preference may be given to candidates with demonstrated interest and experience teaching in concurrent enrollment or AP/IB high school math settings.

Teaching responsibilities expected of all faculty include: teaching course load as assigned, evaluate courses and assess student learning, meet established course, program and learning outcomes, comply with guidelines and policies, maintain office hours per established standards, develop rapport with students, assist with and participate in advising, orientation and registration activities.

CMC Faculty are expected to engage in service activities such as campus and college committees, participation in relevant projects, mentor peers, participate in and assist with assessment activities, program review, student organization, recruiting and retention.

Salary range: $64,392.31 - $78,429.77 depending upon education and experience.


Qualified candidates must be credentialed to teach in this program, or eligible to be credentialed. Examples of ideal qualifications include:

A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Math, Applied Math or related field, or a Master’s Degree with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in Math or related field is required. Minimum of one year full time teaching experience required, or equivalent as adjunct. Higher education teaching experience is preferred. A candidate with full time higher education teaching experience is preferred.

Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to working in a culturally diverse environment and the ability to effectively work with students, employees, vendors and community members having diverse backgrounds.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) or conversational language abilities preferred.
