This full time, faculty position begins in August 2019 with a 30 credit hour (170 day contract per Board Policy 4.12) teaching load annually.

The Leadville Campus prides itself on the active art of teaching and illuminating learning for all students through experiential teaching in the classroom, lab and clinical settings. In addition to teaching EMS courses to EMTB and Fire Science students, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the visioning and growth of the Emergency Management related programs and curriculum.

This faculty position will teach a variety of EMS courses supporting the EMTB and Fire Science programs at the Leadville campus, which may include, but not be limited to: Basic EMT Lecture and Lab, EMT Intravenous Therapy, Wilderness First Responder, Occupational Safety & Health for Fire. The position will also support co-ordination of clinical placements for EMTB students.

Teaching responsibilities expected of all faculty include: teaching course load as assigned, evaluate courses and assess student learning, meet established course, program and learning outcomes, comply with guidelines and policies, maintain office hours per established standards, develop rapport with students, assist with and participate in advising, orientation and registration activities.

CMC Faculty are generally expected to engage in scholarly endeavors as well as service activities such as campus and college committees, participation in relevant projects, mentor peers, participate in and assist with assessment activities, program review, student organization, recruiting and retention.

Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to working in a culturally diverse environment and the ability to effectively work with students, employees, vendors and community members having diverse backgrounds.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) or conversational language abilities preferred.

Salary range: $57,492 – $74,144. Salary placement dependent upon education, related experience and teaching experience.
