Colfax School District is accepting applications for Social Studies Teacher at Colfax Junior/Senior High School.
Applicants must possess or be able to obtain before the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year, a Washington state teaching certificate with appropriate endorsements. Training in higher thinking strategies, data-based decision making, cooperative practices, research skills, state standards for student learning and related assessments, and career pathways in related fields will be weighted in the screening. Multiple endorsements in additional content areas is beneficial.
All prospective employees being considered for employment will be required to complete a satisfactory background review as a condition of employment. The background review includes: Endorsement and certification checks to hold the position, evidence of physical, mental, and emotional health to meet the daily demands of the job, no convictions of sexual predator or child abuse laws of the state, investigation with prior employers, and evidence of being free from drug dependency.
