Conservation Officer
Administer and enforce the City’s environmental regulations. Responsible for reviewing, implementing, and monitoring development and other projects for compliance with the City’s environmental regulations. Works closely with the public and other City departments to address violations of the City’s environmental regulations and conducts Code Enforcement actions when necessary. Objective is to protect and restore the City’s natural resources, and to enforce all applicable City, State and Federal environmental and wildlife conservation laws.
Bachelor’s degree in Natural Resources, Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, Agriculture or a related field; and three (3) years of related experience in environmental, vegetation and wildlife management functions is preferred. Pay rate is $22 per hour (negotiable) based on experience.
