City of Mentor 9-1-1 Emergency Dispatcher Full Time/Part Time Positions Available
Responsibilities include processing 9-1-1 emergency calls, determining priorities, providing emergency medical pre-arrival instructions and dispatching emergency units. Work entails exercising judgment in coordinating responses to situations which may affect the lives and safety of the public, and police and fire personnel. Work relies heavily on the use of complex computer and technical equipment. Customer service, multi-tasking skills and computer experience are a must. No prior Dispatch experience is required. High school graduation or GED required. Must be able to work rotating shifts, weekend, and holidays. Must pass CritiCall 911 Pre-Employment Test and background investigation. Rate of pay: full-time position - $44,938.40 annually; part-time position - $18.39-$28.70 per hour. Application deadline Friday, May 14, 2021.
