City of Kettering, OH seeks a Crime Analyst to perform professional level technical & analytical support in the daily operations of the City's Police Department. This is a non-sworn civilian position responding to requests for information and/or analysis from administration & others; identifying & predicting trends, patterns or problems; collecting, categorizing, compiling, analyzing, developing & disseminating information. The Crime Analyst will proficiently use computers & related software such as Lexis Nexis and crime mapping software and serve as backup for payroll. Candidate must have an Associate's Degree from an accredited college/university with major coursework in Crime Analysis, Criminal Justice, Criminology, Police Science, Public Administration, Computer Sciences, Mathematics, Statistical Analysis, Information Management or other related field (Bachelor's or Master's Degree preferred) with two years of experience in a public safety, emergency management, or other relevant capacity desired, or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Pay range is up to $64,085/year depends on qualifications. Excellent benefits.
