Administrative Coordinator I

City of Hagerstown – Planning & Code Department $34,118 - $42,490 DOQ Reports to Department Director. Position requires high degree of responsibility and discretion, excellent customer service skills, and computer proficiency. Ability to stay cool under pressure and in the face of occasional hostile customers is critical. Responsible for coordinating and circulating development review applications, performing meeting secretary functions for three Boards (including agendas, meeting packet prep, minutes, etc.), answering planning and zoning inquires via phone and email, and backing up phone calls on permitting and code administration inquiries and simple permit issues. Attending up to five after-hours meetings per month is required. Coordinates the purchasing and accounting processes for the department and coordinates other administrative functions for the planning and zoning operations of the department. Minimum 5 years’ experience in a business or government office required. Experience in a regulatory office environment, particularly in planning and code administration, is desirable. Experience posting/maintaining website information and managing Zoom meetings is a plus.
