Utilities Billing Clerk
The Public Utilities Billing Clerk performs a variety of bookkeeping, customer service & office support to facilitate the billing & accounting of electric, water & other public services as well as providing office support to City Hall. Some of the daily tasks are balance cash receipts, prepare bank deposits, setup & maintain accounts, ACH transactions, document imaging, open/close front desk & answer phones.
Minimum qualifications include an Associate Degree in accounting, data processing, business or related topics & 3 years work experience in billing, collections, customer service or other relevant work; or an equivalent combination of education & experience.
Preferred demonstrated skills: Strong customer service, document imaging, phone etiquette, number accuracy & multi-tasking. Salary range is $45,011 to $59,820.
