Public Works Maintenance Specialist
The City of Colville is accepting applications for one full-time Public Works Maintenance Specialist for the Public Works Department. This is a skilled technical position that performs multiple duties operate, maintain, and repair both the City's water system and the City's sewer collection system. Maintains safe, clean streets for the public and for the safe movement of traffic. Repairs, maintains, and installs storm drainage systems. Operates a variety of City owned and rental equipment. Must be available for mandatory participation in an on-call rotation, and be able to respond to an emergency with a response time of 40 minutes or less. High school diploma or the equivalent, and a minimum of one (1) year water and sewer operation and maintenance experience required. Must have the ability to pass the Water Works Operator Certification - Water Distribution Specialist exam within two (2) years of hire. Must have a Class B CDL with tank vehicle endorsement or the ability to obtain within two (2) years. Starting salary is $3,548.78 to $4,055.88 per month depending on experience and certifications.
