The City of Cavalier, North Dakota is now accepting resumes for the position of a full-time City Auditor/Administrator. The individual in this position will coordinate administration of city government in accordance with North Dakota Century Code, Chapter 40-16, and City Ordinances of the City of Cavalier, North Dakota, and policies determined by the Cavalier City Council by performing duties personally or through subordinates.
Successful applicants will be highly motivated and self-directed. Applicant must have a valid driver's license, pass a background check and are subject to a drug test. The successful candidate will be required to obtain a North Dakota Auditor Certification within one year of appointment. Experience in business, accounting, finance or comparable work is preferred. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages and supervises all departments, agencies and offices of the city to achieve goals within available resources; plans and organizes workloads and staff assignments; trains, motivates and
evaluates assigned staff; reviews progress and directs changes as needed.
- Provides leadership and direction in the development of short and long range plans; gathers, interprets, and prepares data for studies, reports and recommendations; coordinates department activities with other departments and agencies as needed.
Salary will depend on experience and includes a competitive benefit package.
