Provide operational support for Charter’s video delivery system, Spectrum Guide, including system installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, performance tuning, storage resources, and network configuration to fit application and database requirements. Design and strategize plans for Methods of Procedures for deploying modules on all Cable TV components. Deploy code releases, validate, and troubleshoot functionalities. Support and manage Tier IV escalation calls, fix complex outages, and perform Emergency Break-Fixes. Develop scripts, utilities, simulators, data sets and other programmatic test tools using scripting languages such as Python or Java as required for test automation to monitor system performance. Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations. Perform quality control and engineering using advanced technologies and methods related to Cloud TV architecture. Develop, maintain, and support system software, hardware, and user support. Configure, debug, and support multiple infrastructure platforms. Perform high-level root-cause analysis for service interruption recovery and create preventive measures. Troubleshoot, install, and configure enterprise-wide Apache Web Servers and Tomcat application containers in a large Red Hat CentOS and administer Linux operating systems. Support Cable TV applications in an engineering environment. Perform system administration operations, Operations, DevOps, and application support.
Education / Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Requires 6 years of experience administering Linux operating systems; developing automation scripts for tools using Python or Java; and in System Administration operations, Operations, DevOps, or application support.
