Preschool Program Instructor

Description:

Charlevoix Public Schools is implementing a new 3-year-old preschool program. The Lead Teacher will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and enriching learning environment for 3-year-old children. They will be expected to plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of young learners.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma, Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
• Experience with children in educational setting and/or licensed program
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with young children and their parents.
• Emotional resilience to handle the challenges of working with young children
• Ability to complete required reports and follow curriculum

Beginning Date:

2024-2025 school year 

Hours:

M-F mornings with the possibility of additional afternoon hours in childcare.

Salary & Benefits:

Salary dependent on education and experience; single health benefits available (when 30 hours/wk)
