Part Time Direct Care Workers
Direct Care Workers provide a range of supportive services to individuals in a home and community-based setting. Our individuals receive services via various programs we offer, including eldercare (companion, homemaker, personal care assistance), mental health and recovery assistant, as well as in-home support for individuals with developmental disabilities or an acquired brain injury.
The position is for a Recovery Assistant (we will train) that will have an opportunity to work with a client through range of supportive assistance including but not limited to the following: Plus other assignments in the area available Provide daily routine care such as bathing, dressing and assisting with feeding. Assist clients in activities of daily living Light housekeeping Conversing with the individual and providing support, companionship, and mental stimulation and orientation. Establish and maintain a helpful, supportive, companionship relationship with the participant through effective communication Using own car or public transportation to accompany client to medical/ health appointments or various social activities as outlined in recovery plan. Provide medication reminders. Teach and assist client to accomplish daily individual recovery plan goals Maintain certain daily activity and progress reports and communicate progress or changes to immediate supervisor and other agency representatives.
Required: One or more years' experience in providing direct hands-on patient care. Responsible, reliable employee with a passion for helping others. Reliable transportation, current valid driver's license, current automobile insurance (if applicable).

Environmental Conditions/ Physical Demands:
1. Ability to lift 15 pounds
2. Ability to transport client using car or public transportation.
