Board of Education Vacancy

Brookwood School District 167 - Applications Due by April 23, 2021 --No Later than 4 PM. Brookwood School District 167 has two (2) Board Openings on its Board of Education. 

The newly appointed board members will hold these positions until the next consolidated election (April 2023). Pursuant to the School Code (105 ILCS 5/10-10) each public school board member in Illinois must be: A United States Citizen. A resident of the State of Illinois and of the school district for at least one year preceding the election/appointment. 18 years of age or older. A registered voter. Neither a trustee nor a school treasurer. Not a child sex offender as defined in Section 11-9.3 of the Criminal Code. Cannot hold two elected offices at the same time if they are incompatible.

Please give specific examples of your ability in interpersonal relationships and teamwork. 4. What do you see as the role of a Board Member? 5. What have you done to prepare yourself for the challenges of being a Board Member? 6. Please describe your previous community or non-profit experiences. 7. What areas in the district would you like to see the Board strengthen? 8. What is your availability to meet the time, training commitments, and other responsibilities required for Board membership?
