Senior Analyst, Network Solutions, Pitney Bowes, Shelton, CT. Provide the financial and operational analysis for new and existing business impacting the Pitney Bowes transportation network. Assemble data from varied sources into formats appropriate for specific operations and financial analysis. Use internal network pricing modeling to generate transportation expense for prospective clients. Assist with the preparation of the Cost of Service forecast for annual operating budget and strategic plans, as well as sensitive analyses to quantify opportunities and risks. Perform root cause analysis on variances from plan and present findings/solutions. Create optimization models to improve efficiencies and accuracy in information and transportation flow. Assist in identifying, developing, and implementing process changes to support ongoing integration initiatives. Head projects consisting of cross-functional personnel groups. Present findings to business leaders and lead implementation procedures. Position is 100% remote; may work from home.
Must possess at least a master’s degree or its equivalent in Transportation/Logistics/Industrial Engineering or a closely related field and at least three years of work experience in a role in which experience was gained in Transportation/ Logistics/Industrial Engineering/Operations Research Data Management, Business Analysis, Finance or a related field. In the alternative, at least a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Transportation/ Logistics/Industrial Engineering or a closely related field, and at least five years of prior progressive work experience in a role in which experience was gained in Transportation/Logistics/Industrial Engineering/Operations Research Data Management, Business Analysis, Finance or a related field. Must also possess the following: at least 1 year of experience with using of Microsoft SQL queries & Office products (focus on Excel, Access, PowerBi and PowerPoint); at least 1 year of experience with Network Modeling and Business Intelligence tools; at least 1 year of experience with database structures and handling large amounts of data; and at least 1 year of experience solving problems using statistical concepts (Six Sigma).
