Fund Accountant
Ellington Management Group, LLC is seeking a Fund Accountant in Old Greenwich, CT, to create & review monthly financial & management report for the funds. Reconcile administrator data to internal portfolio management systems. Coordinate with product accountants on complex securitizations and other deals to ensure proper presentation in official books and records, including cost rolls and amortization schedules. Maintain expense accrual budgets, analyze budget-to-actuals, and liaise with relevant departments on expense projections and allocations between deals or desks. Assist in preparation of GAAP financial statements, the coordination of year-end annual audits, and handle audit inquiries. Coordinate with tax function in preparation of year-end tax return information as well as intra-year tax projections and planning based on accounting data.
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, a related field, or a foreign equivalent, plus one year of post-baccalaureate experience in auditing asset management or investment banking companies.
Experience must include Bloomberg, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) regulations, ASC820-Fair Value Leveling; experience in verifying the valuation of fixed income securities, equity securities & financial derivatives, including interest rate swaps & recalculating the P&L. Experience must include reviewing financial records for asset management & investment banking companies. Must have passed all four parts of the CPA Exam and have passed the CFA Level 1 exam.
