Cloud and Automation Engineer, Pitney Bowes, Shelton, CT. 

Lead and manage Cloud and Automation related efforts and work with internal self-hosted cloud technologies and public cloud providers. Design and deliver, fit for purpose infrastructure and solutions to meet business needs and automated self service solutions to address complex engineering needs. Architect, design and deliver solutions using existing infrastructure components, implement new infrastructure technologies, resolve unforeseen incidents and initiate change to ensure future issues can be managed more efficiently. Evaluate new tools and techniques being able to understand their value and impact. Understand current application development techniques (12 factor app) and their implications to infrastructure. Assist Software Engineers to seamlessly consume infrastructure and introduce automation to all aspects of development and testing. Design systems and applications, respond to and remedy Cloud related requests and incidents and support private and public cloud providers. 100% remote. May work from home.

Qualifications

Must possess at least a master’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field, and at least three years of work experience in a DevOps environment and automating infrastructure and software solutions. In the alternative, at least a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field and at least five years of prior progressive work experience in a DevOps environment and automating infrastructure and software solutions would be acceptable. Must also possess at least 3 years of experience of designing and delivering a large multi-region private cloud; at least 3 years of experience with cloud migration planning and execution; at least 3 years of experience of leveraging AWS services for fully HA / scalable software deployments; at least 3 years of experience at designing solutions for large complex global organizations; at least 3 years of experience with VMware ESXi, AWS, and Linux, including RHEL and Ubuntu; at least 3 years of experience networking/ AWS networking; at least 2 years of experience with automation tool knowledge, including Puppet, Ansible, Terraform and AWS CloudFormation / Red Hat Cloudforms; at least 2 years of experience with PowerCli, Powershell, Ruby on Rails and Python; at least 2 years of practical experience with Git/SCM; and at least 2 years of experience with Storage and SAN technical concepts.
